Does the economic picture look grim to you today?  With the prices of everything rising due to the oil crises, House for Sale signs are popping up across the States like dandelions; I think California has a 2 for 1 sale going!  Minimum wage has eroded and is eaten up before you leave the bank?  With only promises of gas prices rising to $7 a gallon by 2010, people are bracing themselves for drastic cost cutting measures in order to keep their homes and livlihoods, but will cost cutting be enough?  Where 20 and 30 years ago collegeless hourly wagers enjoyed the expected benefits and pension plans of the Industrial-Maufacturing Age, we are being taught today that retirement and pension plans don't grow on trees.  These baby boomer parents are gardening in retirement while their kids are choosing between an ER visit or the mortgage payment.  Educated white collar workers are no exeption to the weakening labor force; while in the 80's and 90's degreed college grads were nabbed from college campuses upon graduation to fullfill plentious job markets, today they are looking around wondering where all the jobs are.

What's happening here with our economy, our jobs?  Are the big ones all overseas now?  Are there just too many people?  Or did futurist Alvin Toffler have one of those visions that people don't believe until it overtakes them?  In his book, The Third Wave, this 1928 born American sociologist, writer, and futurist gives a fascinating break down of society from it's first hunting/gathering stage to then the great agricultural boom, followed by the industrial revolution as far back as the 1600's until...recently!  Welcome to what Toffler calls Wave #3!

Remember this! the Agricultural Wave!

The rise of the Industrial Age, when families moved away from the fields to localized industrial plants was brought on by the market economy, the technology of mechanization, and the rise of the corporate world.  Life shifted from urban to rural. One room school houses gave way to public education where the goal was to train students for the public workplace, and sort students who were eligible for promotion to a higher level in the system.  Today that higher level in the system has become the norm; it's a common course for high school grads to go where the money can be had, and as far as we know today, a college education is where it's at, or is it?

A bit of good news for those who are long past weary of the Industrial/Corporate world and would like to be home a little more and doing work from there.  That's where things are headed.  Have you noticed all the laid off Industrial workers and jobless college grads, and that Chrysler Corp. recently cancelled all its employees Life Insurance Policies?  How are you and your future fairing today?  There's a secret that's not a secret to the many thousands who've already shifted with the Third Wave, and working for themselves instead of making someone else rich.  Money today is changing hands; it's moving out of the lesser mega-corporations who've held the countrys wealth in the past, and its moving into the hands of many smaller networks and people who today have comparable access to the golden key that creates great wealth.  Today you don't have to have alot of money for big buildings and tools and workers; today in the Information Age, the capital is in ...Information!  And today some of the best Information people need is how to be protected from the biggest crime of the century...Identity Theft!

Here's the Information that isn't listed in the Want Ads and the Money Employers aren't offerring.
